Fall Family Photography Mini Sessions in San Diego
How in the world is it already fall? I am typing this while wearing a tank top and shorts, with my AC still doing it’s thing, but little by little, San Diego is getting that little fall chill in the air, and that means it’s time for our annual Fall Family Mini Sessions 2025! I am SO excited to see you all again, and to photograph your family amidst the beautiful orange, yellow and tan foliage that’s just about to show up, right in time for our fall mini session!
Where:
Back by popular demand, this year’s Limited Fall Family Mini Sessions will take place at Mission Trails Regional Park, at the Equestrian Circle Trailhead. This location boasts a lovely fall feel of orange and yellow leaves, as well as greenery, mountains and trees in the background. I LOVE this location due to it’s magical light, moving from soft, backlit light to more bold colors as the sun comes down.
When:
October 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23
Only two sessions will be available per day, and to make sure we get that beautiful golden light, sessions will take place close to sunset. Please see the booking calendar for available time slots.
What’s included?
Your Fall Family Photography Mini Session will last up to twenty minutes and will include five full resolution digital images of your choice.
What’s the process?
– Follow the link below to book your Limited Fall Family Mini Session. You’ll receive a confirmation email with location details.
– It’s session time! Be sure to arrive EARLY, with plenty of time to make sure that all family members are fully ready to begin our session promptly at our session start time.
– Shortly after our awesome mini session, I will reach out to you to schedule our image reveal ordering appointment via Zoom.
– During our Zoom appointment, you will be presented with a selection of images from our session. These images will be unedited, straight out of the camera. Together, we will work to select your five favorite images from the session to be fully edited for you upon delivery. Want more than five images? No problem! Additional images will be available to you at the mini session rate of $45 per additional image.
– Your fully edited digital images will be edited and delivered to you via a private online gallery within two weeks of our Zoom appointment. Enjoy
What’s the cost?
$295 Includes your mini session of 20 minutes and five full resolution digital images of your choice.
Other stuff to keep in mind:
LIGHTING AND YOUR TIME SLOT: To ensure that all families have the best lighting of the day, only two time slots per day will be available. If you book the earlier session time slot, and provided that the sky is not overcast, you will be able to enjoy a more light and airy, ‘backlit’ type of session (see the image below of the girls on the ladder). If booking the later time slot, the sun will begin to set behind the mountains offering more evenly lit, vibrant colors (see main photo of family above). If the weather is a bit more cloudy, colors will be a bit more rich and deep (see little girl above reaching for falling leaves, pictured above).
TIME SLOT CONSIDERATIONS: As there will be multiple sessions taking place during these mini sessions, I ask that you please arrive well ahead of time in order to be READY TO BEGIN right at our session start time. I cannot offer extended time should you arrive late. The sun will be setting with the last session of the day, and the sun won’t wait for us. Once the light is gone, it’s gone. Please be sure to allow plenty of time for traffic, diaper oopsies, outfit changes and everything else that should be prepared before our session begins.
